Cookie Policy

Reservee uses cookies and similar storage technologies (localStorage) to make the website and the app work and — only with your consent — to analyse the use of the app in pseudonymous form. Below we describe exactly what is created where.

1. What is a cookie?

Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device when you visit a website. They help keep the site working correctly and provide useful statistics for development purposes. Reservee stores some data via the browser's localStorage mechanism rather than traditional HTTP cookies exclusively.

2. What cookies and stored data do we use?

Strictly necessary (always active)

These are required for the website and application to function correctly. They are active without your consent because the site cannot operate properly without them.

• theme — Stores your chosen display theme (dark/light mode). Storage: localStorage. Expiry: until localStorage is cleared.
• cookie-consent — Records your cookie preference so the banner does not reappear on every visit. Storage: localStorage. Expiry: until cleared.
• reservee-site-locale — Remembers which language version of the website you chose (Hungarian, English or German), so that the site does not send you to another one automatically later on. It is only created when you switch language in the language selector or open a link that explicitly points to the Hungarian version. It contains no personal data and your browser does not send it to the server. Storage: localStorage. Expiry: until cleared. Automatic language version: if the time zone of your device is not the Hungarian one, your browser may load the German or English version of a Hungarian page when you open it; the choice between the two is made from the time zone and the language setting of your browser. The decision is made locally in your browser: nothing is stored on your device for it, and the script does not send this information to our servers.
• Firebase Authentication cookies — Required for session management inside the Reservee app. Managed by Google Firebase (Google LLC). Google privacy policy.
• The app's own settings (entries starting with flutter.) — the language chosen in the app, the provider page you opened last (per account, under the internal identifier of the account), and the fact that you have already seen a one-time notice or confirmation. Storage: localStorage. Expiry: until cleared. Until the browser tab is closed (sessionStorage) we also keep the language the tab was opened in and, when you buy a team seat, the step you started, until you return from the payment page.

Analytics cookies (consent required)

The marketing website (the reservee.hu home page and its subpages) sets no analytics cookies at all — only the strictly necessary localStorage entries listed above.

Analytics runs only inside the Reservee application (reservee.hu/app), and only once you have pressed “Accept all” on the cookie banner. Until you decide, or if you chose “Essential only”, the app starts with analytics collection switched off and no analytics cookie is created.

• Google Analytics for Firebase (_ga, _ga_*) — Pseudonymous in-app usage statistics: screen views, sign-in and sign-up events, plus the device and browser data (such as device type) and approximate location (country, town) that Google Analytics collects by default. The statistics are linked to the internal identifier and the role (provider, team member or client) of your account. Managed by Google. Expiry: 2 years (_ga, _ga_*). Google privacy policy.

Your choice is stored in the cookie-consent entry in your browser and is shared between the marketing site and the app, because both run on the same domain.

Embedded YouTube videos (only when you open one)

If, inside the Reservee application, you open learning material that the provider has shared as a YouTube video, the video is shown in an embedded YouTube player. The player is supplied by YouTube (Google Ireland Limited): when it loads, your browser connects directly to the YouTube servers, and YouTube may store its own cookies or similar entries on your device. Reservee neither creates them nor has access to them, and the cookie banner does not cover them: the banner is about the analytics described above. The player is loaded only when you open that video. 3. How can you manage cookies?

You can change your cookie preferences at any time in the following ways:

• Reservee cookie banner: Click “Accept all” or “Essential only” on the banner at the bottom of the page. To reset your choice, clear the cookie-consent entry from your browser's localStorage.
• Browser settings:
  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Privacy → Cookies

Note: disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect the correct functioning of the website and application.
